The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of BASScare.

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of others while putting your kitchen skills to good use? We are seeking a reliable and caring volunteer to independently manage the kitchen area within our dementia day respite program.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve pre-prepared morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea to clients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure all food handling, safety, and cleaning tasks are carried out in line with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting the wellbeing of our clients.

Requirements:

  • A current Food Safety Certificate (mandatory).
  • Ability to work safely, efficiently, and independently.
  • A friendly, reliable, and caring approach.
