About the Role: We’re inviting passionate creatives, emerging art teachers, or skilled hobbyists to volunteer as art facilitators at the Craig Family Centre. Whether you want to run a one-off workshop or a term-based series, we’d love to hear your ideas.

You choose the medium – painting, drawing, collage, textiles, sculpture, mixed media – and the age group you’d like to work with (children, adults, seniors, or all ages). We can help you develop a session plan if you’re just starting out, or give you the freedom to design your own sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead an engaging creative session (or series of sessions)
  • Prepare basic materials and set up the room (support provided)
  • Guide a small group (up to 10 participants)

  • If working with children: hold a valid Working With Children Check

Skills & Experience (desirable but not essential):

  • Passion for art and creativity
  • Clear communication and ability to guide small groups
  • Confidence in teaching or willingness to learn
  • Experience with community groups, kids, or older adults (optional)
  • Working With Children Check (if facilitating children’s sessions)
