About the Opportunity The Karaoke Facilitator will lead a weekly or fortnightly karaoke session at the Craig Family Centre — a relaxed, inclusive program designed to bring people together through music, laughter, and self-expression. The sessions aim to build social connection, confidence, and joy for community members of all ages and abilities.
You’ll have the freedom to shape the atmosphere of each session — whether that’s a fun afternoon singalong, themed music sessions, or casual performances that encourage community participation. The Craig Family Centre will provide the space, sound equipment, and promotional support to help you make your program thrive.
Key Duties
- Plan and host engaging karaoke sessions (weekly or fortnightly, depending on your availability).
- Create a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for participants of all backgrounds and confidence levels.
- Encourage audience participation and support individuals to sing or join in as they feel comfortable.
- Communicate regularly with Craig Family Centre staff and volunteers about attendance, needs, and feedback.
Skills and Experience
- A friendly, approachable personality and a passion for music.
- Confidence in leading groups and creating a positive, energetic atmosphere.
- Good communication skills and empathy for people with varying confidence or ability levels.
- No professional singing or teaching experience required — just enthusiasm and reliability!
