The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria.

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is seeking a volunteer with proven experience in small grant writing to assist our executive team with grant and funding applications. In this casual role you will be part of a small, caring team who are focused on meeting the needs of people who are blind or vision impaired.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Work with BSRV to identify available grant opportunities or other sources of funding
  • Write and submit grant applications that have been approved by the executive team
  • Assist in completing grant compliance, monitoring and acquittal process

Skills:

  • Ability to communicate (oral and written) effectively
  • Proven experience in grant seeking, writing and managing the submission process
  • Ability to think strategically and with common sense
  • Ideally you have some knowledge of government and not for profit legislation
