The support provided by volunteers in this position assists Alamein to provide a friendly welcome to all visitors and attendees at the centre. The role is to greet visitors entering the centre, direct them to the correct room or staff member, make a tea or coffee for them and ensure the common area is a welcoming place.
City of Boroondara - Active Ageing
Do you live near Rowell Avenue in Camberwell? Or near Victory blvd & Warrigal road Ashburton? We are also looking for someone near Northcote Ave Balwyn. We have a senior resident in these locations waiting to be matched with a volunteer. We know that bin day can be a challenge for some seniors. Many need just a small helping hand. This new program will pair volunteers who live nearby and will help an older neighbour move their bins each week. A simple thing that can have a big impact!
