The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Fair Trade & Gift Shop.
Our Fair Trade & Gift Shop is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team. Whether you have retail experience or are keen to learn, this is a great opportunity to gain practical skills, meet new people and make a real difference.
What you’ll learn and do With training and support provided, you’ll learn how to:
- Use our Point of Sale (POS) computer system
- Serve and connect with customers
- Handle cash and calculate change
- Support the day-to-day running of the shop
- Work confidently as part of a team
You could be the perfect fit if you:
- Enjoy working with computers and technology
- Have experience with Microsoft Office or similar programs
- Have worked in retail, customer service or an op shop
- Are confident with basic maths
- Are trustworthy and comfortable handling cash
- Communicate well and enjoy helping people
- Are eager to learn new skills and meet new friends
No previous POS experience?
- No problem training will be provided!
- Retail and customer service training can also be arranged.
- Choose a day that works for you
- Volunteer hours: 10:30 am–2:00 pm
- Hours are negotiable.
