A Great Pathway into Community Services
If you're studying Community Services, Social Work or a related field, this role is a fantastic opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a community support setting and learn from experienced Community Support Workers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors and assist with general enquiries
- Answer and direct telephone calls
- Take messages for staff members
- Assist with filing, photocopying and other administrative duties
- Help maintain service waiting lists and records
- Support the reception area to remain organised and welcoming
- Assist with simple in-house tasks as required
Skills and Experience:
The ideal volunteer will:
- Enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
- Have a friendly and approachable manner
- Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks
- Remain calm in busy or occasionally challenging situations
- Have basic administrative and computer skills
- Be reliable and committed to their volunteer roster
