The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is promoting this opportunity on behalf of Meals @ the Bridge - Lifeline Inc.

Choose the role that suits your style — Microsoft 365 support and advice, setting up secure and well‑organised systems, or offering big‑picture tech advice.

OPTION 1: Microsoft 365 / IT Admin Support Volunteer

  • Ideal if you enjoy helping others make good tech decisions.
  • Ad-hoc support & trusted “go-to” person. You’ll help with:
    • Microsoft 365 Admin basics User accounts, licences, and permissions Security checks (MFA, Defender basics)
    • Answering “Is this the right way to do this?” questions
    • Occasional advice when the CEO isn’t sure
  • Time: Very flexible, ad-hoc Style: Advisory, not hands-on support

OPTION 2: Microsoft 365 & Security Setup Volunteer

  • Ideal if you like clean setups and best practice.
  • Project-based foundation role. You’ll help with:
    • Microsoft 365 & Entra ID configuration Security foundations (MFA, Defender, access controls)
    • Light Intune / device setup (5–10 devices)
    • Copilot readiness (we currently have 1 Copilot licence) Setting things up properly so we can roll out more licences
    • Simple documentation and handover
  • Time: Short-term project, flexible hours Style: Defined scope with a clear “done”

OPTION 3: Technology Advisor (Volunteer)

  • Ideal if you’re experienced and prefer advisory over admin.
  • Low-commitment, governance & confidence role. You’ll help with:
    • Sanity-checking tech decisions and changes
    • Advice on licences, security, and “do we need this?”
    • Keeping systems simple and appropriate for a small NFP
  • Optional 6-monthly or annual check-ins
  • Time: Very low, occasional Style: Strategic, not operational
