Overview The Snowsports Program Manager plays a key leadership support role within MSA, working collaboratively with the Executive Team, Committee, and coordination roles to develop and deliver inclusive snowsports opportunities. This volunteer position is responsible for the overall coordination of MSA’s programs and requires a strong commitment to inclusion, along with demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and organisational capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Team and Committee in delivering MSA’s purpose through effective program development, management, and execution
- Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organisational and Child Safeguarding requirements
- Collaborate with volunteers and coaches to deliver inclusive and accessible programs
- Work closely with the Program Coordinator and Event Coordinator to share responsibilities and ensure effective program delivery
- Act as the primary operational contact for families, carers, schools, and partner organisations – including distribution of key communications across channels
- Oversee the planning, orchestration, communication and delivery of all MSA on-site activities at Mt Buller during the Multiclass Snowsports Event
- Build and maintain strong relationships with families, carers, and community stakeholders, advocating for athletes and promoting MSA programs
- Maintain partnerships with key organisations (e.g. Snow Australia, Special Olympics Australia, Disabled Wintersport Australia (DWA), and Sport Inclusion Australia)
- Support grant initiatives in collaboration with the Fundraising Coordinator
- Contribute to communications and social media to ensure alignment with MSA messaging
- Facilitate athlete voice and ensure athletes remain central to decision-making processes
- Monitor, analyse, and report on program effectiveness using participation data
Key Tasks
- Develop and manage the annual program plan, including scheduling, task allocation, and progress tracking
- Create and update program materials including web/landing pages, information packs, handbooks, membership forms, and event pages
- Develop and distribute all MSA communications to the MSA community, including monthly newsletters and moderating the MSA community WhatsApp group(s).
- Collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to promote programs across social media, schools, and partner organisations
- Deliver program and event coordination tasks while overseeing responsibilities across the coordination team
- Oversee registrations and enquiries for the Multiclass Snowsports Event, liaising with Snow Australia and DWA
- Coordinate invitations for the Multiclass Presentation Dinner
- Work with the Head Coach and coordination team to organise event schedules, logistics, and venues
- Coordinate clinic groups and instructor allocations in collaboration with coaching staff
- Liaise with Snow Australia regarding race entries, divisioning, and medal requirements
- Lead pre-event briefings for participants and stakeholders
- Oversee and coordinate all on-site Mt Buller activities during the Multiclass Event, including the Welcome and Torch Run, Opening Ceremony, Multiclass Clinic, Presentation Dinner and Multiclass Race.
- Prepare reports and updates for the Committee
- Design and deliver the annual MSA feedback survey and provide recommendations for continuous improvement

Experience & Education
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in program development and/or project management
- Previous committee or board leadership experience (desirable)
- Experience within not-for-profit or disability sectors (desirable)
- Experience in sporting organisations, operational or governance (desirable)
Performance Indicators
- Growth in school-aged athlete participation and engagement year-on-year
- Achievement of participant satisfaction ratings of 4.5/5 or higher across key program areas (e.g. events, communication, safety, and overall experience)
