About the Role
Do you enjoy getting out and about, meeting new people, and making a positive difference? Join us on our weekly Community Bus Excursions from Morgan Glen Iris!
Each week, seniors head out to wonderful locations featuring a variety of art, craft, local attractions, and points of interest. As a volunteer, you’ll help create a relaxed, friendly, and enjoyable outing that supports seniors to stay connected, social, and engaged with their community.
What You’ll Do
- Join seniors on the bus trip and excursions
- Engage with clients to ensure they feel included and enjoy the day
- Communicate warmly and respectfully with clients
- Assist staff as needed to support a smooth and enjoyable outing
- As a thank you, lunch and any entry costs for excursions are covered for volunteers.
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in supporting older people in the community
- Friendly, patient, and reliable with good communication skills
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Comfortable in social settings and happy to engage with clients
