The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Bowen Street Community Centre.
We require a general handy person to assist with minor repairs and 'fix it' jobs around the building. Bowen Street Community Centre plays a vital role in the social, educational and cultural well-being of the Boroondara Community. Our multipurpose centre offers versatile and creative spaces for learning, caring and sharing.
We are looking for an individual with building and repair experience who can work independently and can use their initiative to see what is required to get the job done.
Tasks may include:
- installing hooks
- changing a tap washer
- fixing a cupboard hinge or door lock
- repair door locks etc.
If you have the skills in handy work and/or general maintenance, we would love to hear from you. The work would involve 2 hours per fortnight, days and times are flexible.
As a volunteer, you can make a difference to the families and community members who use Bowen Street.
