The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is promoting this opportunity on behalf of BASSCARE.

Are you a compassionate and patient individual who enjoys supporting others in a community setting? We are seeking a caring and reliable Greek-speaking volunteer to join our team at the Elsie Salter House Respite Day Centre.

In this rewarding role, you will support clients with varying care needs, helping to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can provide reassurance and a calming presence to individuals who may experience anxiety or confusion.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide gentle, supportive companionship to clients Assist in creating a positive and engaging group environment Support communication and participation through fluent Greek language skills Help reassure and calm clients as needed Work alongside experienced staff within a structured community program

About You:

Fluent in Greek, with strong communication skills Compassionate, patient, and understanding Comfortable supporting people with diverse needs Reliable and able to work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers
