We have a bubbly woman in her late 30s with an intellectual disability who needs a friend. 🤗 She's friendly, positive and easy going – she loves to laugh and is always smiling. She's a big foodie, loves shopping and markets, music and dancing, sewing, going for coffee and walks and trying new things! She wants to make a new friend to spend time and do fun activities with.
We're looking for a friendly and empathic female volunteer to provide companionship and social connection. No previous experience required! Location based around Malvern East and surrounding suburbs. Volunteer must have a car for outings.
Could you be the friend she's looking for?
This volunteer role is flexible, with full training and ongoing support. We ask for a commitment of at least 6 months, for around 1–2 hours every fortnight.
Your impact: Volunteering as Leisure Buddy is a deeply rewarding experience. You will help people with disability feel less isolated, increase independence, confidence and community participation. Your friendship will bring great joy and meaning to the person you are matched with.
