Faversham House is seeking a friendly and reliable volunteer to spend time with an older gentleman who enjoys playing chess and engaging in conversation. This rewarding role is part of our commitment to supporting the social wellbeing of residents living in aged care.

About the Role As a Volunteer Visitor, you will:

  • Visit a resident for around one hour weekly or fortnightly
  • Play chess and enjoy friendly conversation
  • Provide companionship and social connection
  • Help brighten someone's day through regular visits

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Enjoys playing chess
  • Has good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Is patient, friendly, and respectful
  • Can commit to regular visits
  • Values building meaningful relationships with older people

When Tuesday or Thursday afternoons at approximately 2:00 pm Duration: Around 1 hour per visit Frequency: Weekly or fortnightly
