Council is collecting your personal information for the purpose of registering you as a volunteer. The personal information collected during the registration process will be stored on the VIKTOR/VIRA national database which can be accessed by other users. The personal information collected during the registration process will be used for that primary purpose or directly related purposes. Council discloses a minimum amount of information to registered BVRC organisations for the purposes of volunteer recruitment and referral. The information may also be used to update Council's customer databases to assist Council in discharging its functions, providing services and to send promotional material and communications to you. Council may also contact you for the purpose of evaluating your experience with the BVRC. The personal information collected will not otherwise be disclosed unless permitted or required by law. If your information is not collected the BVRC is unable to register you as a volunteer. Requests for access and or correction to the information collected can be made to the BVRC or Council's Privacy Officer.
