Support people rebuilding their lives with RIMERN (Rotary Inner Melbourne Emergency Relief Network), a Rotary project providing furniture and home essentials to those affected by homelessness, domestic violence, and crisis. Volunteers sort donations, move furniture, care for gardens, and help create a welcoming, dignified space.
Avalon Centre Inc
Avalon is a volunteer centre aiming to meet unmet needs when we can, where we can and in whatever way we can. In addition to our centre, we have a program named, ‘Avalon Homes for the Homeless', aiming to provide affordable accommodation for individuals experiencing homelessness, offering them a safe and welcoming place to rebuild their lives. Each of these properties comes fully furnished and each renter is accompanied by a volunteer support worker, to assist in the ongoing transition.
Alamein Neighbourhood & Learning
Alamein Neighbourhood & Learning is a neighbourhood house that provides government-funded, pre-accredited and fee-for-service adult education, community support programs, wellbeing and lifestyle programs to residents in our local community. Our volunteer Committee of Management (CoM) provides strategic direction, governance support and oversight to the Centre to help meet its service delivery goals. The Committee works closely with the Executive Officer.

Samarinda Community Centre is seeking friendly volunteers to assist with meal and afternoon tea service. Tasks include simple food preparation, serving, and helping keep the kitchen tidy. Your support makes a real difference in the lives of local older residents. Shifts available Thursday or Friday, 10am–2pm. Training and free Police Checks provided.
