The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of The Victorian Goalball Association.

The Victorian Goalball Association is seeking a volunteer Sponsorship Advisor (1–2 hrs/week, flexible) to support the 2026 Australian Goalball Championships. Help us create a professional sponsorship package and strategy to attract partners. Tasks include advising on content, drafting proposals, and guiding sponsor engagement. Use your skills in marketing, sponsorship, or fundraising to make a real impact, support inclusion, and join a welcoming community.

About the Role

We’re seeking a volunteer Sponsorship Advisor to help us create a professional sponsorship package and strategy for the AGCs. Your expertise will guide us in building partnerships with businesses and organisations that align with our values.

Key Duties

• Advise on the structure and content of a compelling sponsorship package
• Assist in drafting proposals and supporting documents
• Identify key elements that appeal to corporate and community sponsors
• Guide our team on sponsorship strategy, including approaches and positioning
• Provide feedback and suggestions on draft materials

Skills & Experience Required

• Previous experience in sponsorship, marketing, or fundraising – ideally for events or not-for-profits
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to tailor messaging to appeal to different stakeholders
• Experience writing or reviewing sponsorship proposals or marketing plans
• Understanding of branding, audience engagement, and sponsor expectations
• A collaborative approach and willingness to share expertise
