The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of The Boroondara Stroke Support Group (BSSG).

The Boroondara Stroke Support Group (BSSG) is looking for more volunteers to join it's Initial Contact Team.

Calling Psychologists, other allied health professionals and teachers. If you are looking to volunteer for a few hours each week in your local community? As an Initial Support Team member, you will be a compassionate first point of contact for stroke survivors and their carers—listening, supporting, and reassuring them that they are not alone.

The Boroondara Stroke Support Group (BSSG) was started by a stroke survivor over 20 years ago to support other stroke survivors and their carers in rebuilding their post-stroke lives. The group runs a variety of activities to provide social support to its members. We are a fun and caring team, supported by a part-time Hub Administrator. Our aim is to support stroke survivors in rebuilding their post stroke lives.  If you’re ready to make a real impact in the lives of stroke survivors and their carers, we’d love to hear from you.
