The Boroondara Family Network supports families living in the City of Boroondara with children under the age of six. The volunteer visits the parents home to provide parenting support for the families. The volunteer provides practical help (holding/playing with the baby), friendly support and encouragement in a non judgemental manner. The volunteers are available to engage in adult conversation and be a listening ear. They may assist families to access other community services where appropriate
Our homework club engages young people in the Ashburton and broader Boroondara area. Craig Family Centre is seeking adults (ideal for youth work/community services students) to facilitate a cross-generational LEGO Club. Support teen mentors (14–18) as they guide children (4–12) through fun weekly challenges. Great for placements or volunteer hours. WWCC required (we can help).
