Women and Mentoring
WAM empowers women who are in contact with the justice system to create positive change in their lives. We work with women who are experiencing disadvantage and criminalisation because of financial strain, family violence, social isolation, and homelessness. Through the power of a formal mentoring relationship with a screened and trained volunteer mentor, women can improve their self-esteem, develop their skills and abilities, and ultimately build their life away from the justice system.
